Green Cycle embraces the simple and wholesome philosophy that "we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our children".
Sports teach life skills: dedication, perseverance, leadership, hard work, sacrifice, collaboration, health and fitness, winning, losing, conflict resolution and the list goes on. Unfortunately our youth sports programs are fiscally under attack and the old trusted fund raisers such as bake sales, car washes and paper drives can't keep up with the budget cuts. A new approach is needed.
We have created a solution that out paces any other fund raising activity. It is easy straightforward and introduces the Youth of America to the processes of recycling. It's a win, win, win for the community. Reduced disposal costs for households, the towns recycling burden is reduced, and our youth sports can continue to flourish. It's the grand slam of fund raising.
Municipal waste regulations have changed and continue to change and they demand that we recycle many of our household discarded items such as a computers, electronics, white goods and many others in specific ways. The towns charge their residents fees and in turn then pays out the fees to large hauling companies to haul and recycle the materials. Nothing goes to our town or sports programs. GreenCycle's Green Teams Program changes all that.
Green Cycle and our strategic partners reduce typical town or private recycling fee structures by employing strict recycling fee structures by employing strict recycling and de-manufacturing process controls and by building partnerships with youth sports programs to supply event volunteers. In turn we are able to reduce typical town recycling fees saving residents hard earned cash and then share new lower collected fees with our sports program partners.
Households, save money and recycle responsibility, reams earn money, support their program, learn about the value of teamwork and how recycling benefits all of us.
